TCS completes upgrade of 3 EMP tracking systems in the Kwajalein Atoll for the Kwajalein Range Services. The upgrade consisted of adding a TCS Antenna Control Unit-M1 (ACU-M1) and a Pedestal Interface Unit (PIU) to 2 EMP 5-Meter Systems and 1 EMP 7-Meter System. The PIU connected to the original pedestal using the original control cable delivered witht he system. The PIU communicates with the ACU over a fiber optic link.
Each of the ACUs had embedded Lumsitar Receivers inside. The ACUs were connected to the local Slaving system while allowing for ACU to ACU slaving, as well.
