Edwards Air Force Base Accepts Two C-Band Systems
Tuesday, November 15, 2011
TCS completes the acceptance test procedure for Edwards Air Force Base with a Model 3000-8 System on Trailer and a Model 1800-4 portable system. The Model 3000-8 System has a L and S-Band Autotracking feed at the Prime Focus of the Antenna. In the Cassegrain position, one of two different feeds may reside. One is a standard C-Band feed and the other is a C-Band feed with iNET capability. Both C-Band feeds have downconverters built in. The ACU auto detects which feed is in the Cassegrain position and sets itself up accordingly.

The Model 1800-4 System also has two switchable feeds. At the prime focus of the antenna either a C-Band autotracking feed or a L/S-Band autotracking feed resides. Auto detection is built in two these feeds as well.
